about me

hi there! my name is ava shaffer and i grew up in Ohio, where i am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and English education (expected in 2024) at Miami University. i was editor in chief (2022-2023) of UP Magazine, a fashion and lifestyle publication, and have contributed to and serve on the editorial staff of Inklings Arts & Letters, which publishes undergraduate creative writing and art. i also spent a summer abroad with the program Literary London, where i studied literature with a focus on detective fiction and Shakespeare. i am enthusiastic about pickleball, poetry, and publishing.
